ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF TRAVELING ALONE

Escribe texto o la dirección de un sitio web, o bien, traduce un documento.
What do you think of traveling alone? Have they ever done it? What has been your experience? Have they done it on purpose or because there was no other choice?
According to the Statista portal, in 2015, 8% of European young people between 15 and 24 years old traveled alone during their main holidays, the figure rising to 11% among those over 55 years old. Another survey conducted by TripAdvisor, this time around the world, indicated that 17% of respondents were interested in traveling alone for the first time, and the figure increased to 25% among Millennials.

1. Free will
Undoubtedly, the greatest advantage of traveling alone is the freedom to do what you really want. Roam free like the wind. See this neighborhood but skip that museum, climb that monument or stop walking and appreciate the sights, lose yourself on purpose, wander aimlessly, eat when you want without paying attention to anyone's eating habits Is there a happier way to travel?
However, you have to be biblical -the dates suggest this- to remember that free will forces you to assume the consequences of your own decisions. That is, when you really get lost, there is no one to rescue you; and when you return from a trip and your friends and acquaintances examine you about what you saw or not (because they do, they examine you) you will have to justify yourself by saying that you are a traveler and not a tourist.

2. "I just can not, with friends yes"
As self-sufficient as we create ourselves, there are things you can not do alone. It's like swimming and storing clothes, but literally, or have you never gone back into the sea to keep track of the clothes you left on the beach? Well, it also happens with your luggage when you want to go to the bathroom in airports and stations.
During the trips mishaps arise, it is inevitable, it can be a problem in the customs, with the credit card, or with the digestive system ... If you do not occur any more cases, ask your mother all the misfortunes that can happen to her head while you are traveling. You can-I think so, for example-break your foot on an island in Thailand and need help even to leave the hotel room, let alone move to an airport. In all these cases, a fellow traveler is the closest thing to the best roadside assistance service.

3. Memories
I have a travel companion who is able to recall with great detail what itinerary we did every day of each trip. It's like having a prompter, a living diary, a "you have memories on Facebook to remember" personified that helps you relive every place visited and event lived.
On the contrary, of the trips that I have made alone, I only remember vaguely some landscapes and anecdotes. The rest is in those photos that we never see again when traveling. The only advantage would be the possibility of inventing one's own memories, like those stories that are transformed over time because there is no one to contrast them, but I think I do not have that much imagination.
